Andromeda Galaxy visible before moonrise
M31 core held steady with direct vision in 10×50 binoculars, while outer haze appeared intermittently with averted gaze.

Using a 102mm refractor at 120×, the Cassini Division was briefly distinct on the ansae during calmer moments.
